College Mentors for Kids - We connect kids with local college student mentors. Through weekly after-school
activities, mentors help their "Little Buddies" understand higher education opportunities, as well as the importance
of self-reliance, self-confidence, taking initiative at school, and making wise academic and social choices. Mentors learn about the resources
their campus has to offer, leadership skills and the need for positive role models in their communities. Children not only
learn by interacting with their mentors, but also by participating in activities that foster community and empowerment. www.collegementors.org
Bullies2Buddies is dedicated to reducing
bullying and aggression by teaching wisdom, for wisdom is the solution to life's problems.
For years, the modern world has been trying to reduce bullying through a legal/law enforcement
approach. This requires society to protect us from, apprehend, and punish those who bully us. Unfortunately, as research and
plain experience show, this approach hasn't worked and even leads to an intensification of the bullying problem.
Bullies2Buddies uses role-play to teach how to Turns Victims into Victors — Without Anyone’s Help and Without
Getting Anyone in Trouble. It’s based on Psychological Principals, the Golden Rule, Freedom of Speech, Wisdom
and Natural Law. Bullies2Buddies.com

Herb gardens in strips of earth bordering sidewalks. Apples, pears, cherries, raspberries and strawberries growing all around
the town’s health center. Corn growing tall in front of the police station, and fruit trees surrounding
the fire station. Vegetables (with invitations to “help yourself”) next to the railway station and
bordering parking lots. Residents growing food for themselves in any space not otherwise used. Visitors to the town invited
to “take the walk” through the town center to view all of these edible delights for themselves. Read more here...
